how do you do decimals in binary?

The same way you do them in base 10. you put a decimal point, and then you put what comes after the decimal

>> No.3045557

Just as digits to the left of the radix point increment by powers of 2 (1's place, 2's place, 4's place, 8's place, etc), you decrement by powers of 2 to the right of the radix point (1/2's place, 1/4's place, 1/8's place, etc).

So, for example 1011.0101 would be 8 + 0*4 + 2 + 1 + 0*1/2 + 1/4 + 0*1/8 + 1/16, which is 11.3125

There are no decimal points in binary, stupid. A decimal point in binary is 00101110
