lol I know this is a joke but I actually have a PhD in math. Last year about 1400 people got PhDs, about 120 are still looking for a job according to the AMS. Last year's median salary for new PhDs in math was about 50k for academic jobs, 90k for industry. If you want to make money, do something else.
