God said he'd never flood the earth again. The oceans exist.

.
.. God is a liar or non-existent.

But what if God both lies and tells the truth? (can't have truth without lie).

Scientifically prove that Mewtwo doesn't exist.

If god exists, then I ask that he strike me down with lightning as soon as I finish typing this sentence.
It has not happened.
Therefore, god does not exist.
The fact that any event attributed to god can be easily explained otherwise or follows the law of probability strongly suggests no god.

1. God is said to be all-powerful and all-benevolent
2. Humanity is still in a state of strife
3. Therefore, god doesn't exist.

1. Completely eliminate religion from the earth and from human knowledge, including any knowledgeable researchers performing this experiment, such that no remaining humans or other non-deities could discover any history of religion through physical evidence.
2. If there is a god, god will cause religion appear amongst the remaining population.

QED.

let's do it.

you are fucking retarded.
i hate when people say that.

There is an infinite amount of possible unknown explanations to why god might have wanted us to have free will and opinion.

That doesn't mean he doesn't exist. lol its almost laughable that people say this

1. God identified as being infallible, cannot be wrong or he would not be God.
2. God speaks through Bible. Bible identified as word of God. Bible (God's word) identified as infallible, though also largely open to imperfect human interpretation.
3. Bible still contains statements/claims whether explicit or implicit that TO THIS DAY pertain to our physical world - e.g. age of Earth, among others.
4. Scientifically test aforementioned claims/statements, again e.g. age of Earth. Scientific quantity =/= quantity stated/claimd in bible.
5. Bible flawed/wrong.
6. God flawed/wrong.
7. Time for lunch.

Okay, I'll bite.

The null hypothesis is that god doesn't exist.

Now it's your turn. Go.

Scientifically prove that I don't have that proof. Not so fun when you have to prove a negative, eh?

If it can be scientifically proven that round squares do not exist, it can be scientifically proven that gods do not exist.

They both are internally-inconsistent and self-contradictory.

If god is all powerful, why can't he create a world that simultaneously has free will and no evil? Since logic is a property of our universe and god created our universe, why can't he transcend logic? Doesn't seem all powerful to me.

God is all powerful.

Can he then create a stone so heavy that he himself cannot lift it? If he can do it, he fails. Creating it means he can't lift it, also equalling fail.

Or microwave a burrito so heat he cannot eat it, if you prefer the Simpsons version of this paradox ;)

but religion could be something that just self propogates among people. a religious experience seems to be a part of the human experience. Take shrooms for example. No really, just take shrooms.

This anon brings up an important point. Depending on ones definition of god, he could exist for one person and not another. Depending on your definition of 'truth' or 'reality' anything may fall into a similar wavy-gravy state.

god is like this thread. He keeps coming back to ask us if he's here. or something.
