Is there a future in horticulture?
The reason why I'm asking is that I'm thinking of studying it and I wan't to be sure that it will be worth my time.

Not sure what encompasses horticulture, but if you'd be able to engineer algae that produces biofuel/hydrogen, then sure, go for it.

if it's about optimizing yields, doing stuff with plant cultivation etc. I don't think it's the best you could do. The golden era for that profession is behind us.

If it's about genetic engineering then it is useful though.

Yet another bump. Anyone here with a degree in horticulture who care to give some advice?
