Sup /sci/? Should I go for a B.S. in applied mathematics or electrical engineering?

I hear mixed things about EE jobs. I hear they are going up and down. I am afraid to go that route and not have a job.

Applied mathematics seems more general, but what all could I do with it? Is it more beneficial than, say, a mathematics B.A.?

You'd have to be fucking retarded not to be able to get any kind of electrical work as an EE.

Yeah, I figured as much. I am just in a hard hit area still when the economy tanked... I guess I need to move!

applied math is more fun

Electrical Engineering has great job prospects and deals heavily with math.

>he thinks maths is a safer career choice than engineering of any sort

What can you do with applied math degree?

I did. This was the first thread I saw today when I opened /sci/, briefly thought I'd opened /mu/ instead since I post on both.
