Is this science related? No. But threads about religion aren't either and there are a ton of them around here.

I chose this board because you here seem to be the smartest from all the morons around.

I just wanted to say: People with more than one kid are assholes. Fuck them. We could easily solve most of earth's problems simply by reducing the population. But noooo because Fred Fucktard and Christina Cunt need to have a bunch of children we can not safe the world - bummer.

I say do what is necessary for the greater good and simply outlaw having more than one kid for the next couple of hundred years.

any more and you're just trying too hard to leave your mark

Best bet would be for most couples to have 1 or 2 kids. Problem with a single child policy, as seen in China is that the kid grow up with all the parent's attention. They know no modesty or sharing. They're little emperors.

Biggest problem is that 1 child would have to support 4 grandparents, and 2 parents. Burden is very heavy. China has a social security problem the US has, but maybe a million times more the gravity (there is a billion people in China...)

I think part of birth controlling the world would have to be directed at Africa. Since their mortality rate is quite high and they need many workers to survive they have a ridiculous amount of kids. If you solve their problems and stabilize their country you could reduce carbon emission greatly.

Actually you need a bit more than 2 children per couple to keep stable population levels. Remember that some people have no children.
Frankly I am worried about population. There is a good, liberal solution through just letting prosperity and feminism spread throughout the world so that the birth rate goes down, but I'm worried that population pressures could become great enough that this would be impossible so we'd have to choose between enforcing low birth rates and large scale suffering.

Depends how you do it. Improving health and decreasing infant mortality are very useful at stabilising population in the long run, as are education and capital. Aside from the special case of healthcare and disaster relief it's always more useful to send capital than it is to send goods/consumables.

So to get at where you want to be, or rather, to hide the affect you have on the economy you'd have to spend money you don't have. IF discussing overpopulation, then holding women to one child is only necessary where female fertility is high. There would be less poor people in india if there wasn't a billion of them. Same resources split less ways=more prosperity for those left. People need to realize that this planet isnt big enough to allow everyone to have the same lifestyle the average american does. I do not want my standard of living to drop one centilla even if it means thousands of people have to suffer for it. in summary throughout history everything has fallen, why should we be any different
