im so pissed off about my public speaking class.

I got As on 3 out of the 4 speeches, and a B on one, and then got a B on the midterm, and now apparently I have to get a 98%+ on the final to make an A.

Why? Because my A speeches were barely As. I don't know what the fuck he wanted. I spoke with enthusiasm, I practiced a TON, had good eye contact, very few hesitations. Our classmates critique us and this one faggot kept saying my hand gestures were "distracting" and some of my creative ideas for a conclusion (playing some music) were "stupid". I even talked it over with the professor about playing the music and he said he thought it was a good idea, and I rehearsed it a ton and executed it exactly the way I wanted- kept eye contact while walking over there.

the classmates we get as critiques were the same throughout the whole semester and some people's were just nicer than others. These people were fucking retarded too. GOD IM SO FUCKING PISSED ABOUT THIS FUCKING CLASS.

One thing I've noticed about peer reviews, in all classes. Your peers are some of the harshest and idiotic graders you'll ever have to deal with. I'm training for do some math TA'ing, helping out with discussions, grading homework, that kind of thing. I've got peers who are brutally unsympathetic with their students.

Anyway, you've also got to realize that your teacher may be the type who fights against grade inflation. B's are supposed to be good grades.

Ya see, what you got here is your law of averages. You're thinking wrong with A's and B's. What you got, was some 3.3's and 2.9's. Or something along those lines. If you wanted a 4.0 or something close to it, you failed on ALL of your speeches and midterm.

No need to get pissed, "A" and "B" don't actually mean anything in college, your scores are what they are, and you should have tried harder before if you wanted a better grade. Seeing as you're on 4chan, I bet you have some social anxiety which lead to errors in your public speaking which you did not pick up on.
