1-2(x+3)^2
I'm having issues, can anyone help me out

multiply x+3 by x+3 then multiply your answer by -2 and add 1 to it

Learn to wolfram:

expanded and simplified: <span class="math">-2x^2-12x-17
Learn first square rule: <span class="math">(a+b)^2 = a^2 + 2ab + b^2
Then use basic arithmetic.

>> No.2929957

Expansion of a square > (a+b)^2 = (a^2+2ab+b^2)

1 - [ 2 (x^2 + 6x + 9 ) ] = 0

-2x^ -12x - 18 + 1 = 0

-2x^2 -12x - 17 = 0

therefore 2x^2 + 12x +17 = 0
