Carpet stain protector costs $0.65 per square
yard to apply. How much will it cost to apply
the protectant to a 16-foot x 18-foot carpet?
(A) $187.20

(C) $20.80
(D) $96.00

When moot entered Science and Math, I'm pretty sure he wasn't expecting this kind of math.

I'd say adv is more than fitting in this case.

(18x16)x0.65=187.20

It will cost 187.20 because you hired a jewish carpet company to apply it.

>mfw this is a math problem that exists solely due to how terrible the American measuring system is

For a SI-tard like me this is quite a bit of a challenge, so let's give it a try:

A yard I heard is something like a meter and a square yard then would be a square meter.
A foot is about one third of a meter, so 16 feet are around 5 meter and 18 feet would be 6 meter. The area of the carpet would then measure around 30 square meter. Now 0.65 is approximately one half, so the result would be a bit more than 15. I vote for (C).
