What came first, the chicken or the egg?

The hen.

Egg, retard.

chicken

>> No.2909933

I imagine the chicken. The egg didn't have the reproductive organs.

>> No.2909943

the mutations leading to the common day chicken happened "in utero", so egg.

Dinosaur evolved into chicken

>> No.2909947

1. Something similar to a chicken exists
2. It lays an egg that contains DNA that has 'evolved' into chicken DNA
3. Chicken is born

The question is where does something go from not being a chicken to being a chicken?

This one is more mind blowing:

If a tree falls over in the woods and noone is around to hear it, does it make a sound?

No, thats not mind blowing at all. Your just retarded.

Of fucking course it makes a sound the sound waves still exist you fuck .

When it could interbreed with the modern example of the chicken. The definition of species survives translation to the temporal dimension.

>>2909962
But the birther isn't a chicken. The 'chicken egg' must exist to give birth to the 'chicken', while the birther of the chicken egg is not a chicken, just something similar.

About 100 if they are the same size as yours.

You walked right into that one

The egg was there before the chicken.
However the first egg layer was there before the first egg... obviously

I always say chicken, because I assume at one point there was a chicken like ancestor that produced an egg.

But I think thats wrong. It must be the egg. Eggs are a lot older than chickens.

>> No.2910080

The first specimen that evolved close enough to the modern definition of a 'chicken' to be considered a chicken was first a chicken egg.
Thus, the first chicken egg came before the first chicken.

And eggs in general are way older than chickens in general, by evolutionary timelines. Both the eggs of early birds, and other egg-laying non-bird species. (insects, fish, reptiles, whatever)

Egg was first either way.
