Top ten university, but he should go for a look around before applying. It's a vile series of concrete structures that are the polar opposite of what people expect York to be. You could quite easily get depressed there and to top it all off there is no student community like in Leeds or Newcastle.

If he's just bothered about studying, or is commuting then there isn't an issue - it really is a good university academically. If he wants a social life and nice surroundings to go with his studies then he couldn't do worse.

Starting Physics 4 year MSci at Imperial College London this October (provided I get 40 points in my IB Diploma).

Hopefully as it's in London should be able to get internships at investment banks, then hopefully a lucrative city career.
