Why wouldn't this work? Serious!

The saw would get stuck to the magnet, and could not cut it in half.

Serious.

You would just get two magnets. Its like, the opposide end of the south side of the magnet becomes north, and vice versa. If that makes sense.

But i know this one work ^^

You'd make two magnets, not a half of one.

>> No.2855072

the electrons realign their spin when in the presence of a changed magnetic field (e.g. when you cut the magnet in half)

there isn't some magical property "south" and "north" that half of electrons have. the magnetic field arises as a result of the presence of other magnetic forces which align themselves in the case of certain materials

We barely can make a glow in the dark monkey! This would surely be impossible!

Unless it was a glow in the dark pig-snake....

Bacon doesnt even come from pig skin.

Bacon is just a flavored meat from the belly side of a pig.

Even though this is blatantly a trollthread (hence the original image) it would not be so. The magnetic field "flows" throughout the magnet, and that direction of "flow" would still be the same even after cutting the magnet in half. You would have two magnets with two poles each as opposed to having two magnets with just one pole each. The severed ends of the two magnets would assume their respective poles.
