Let's see how well you can into econ, /sci/:

Suppose that Timmy is considering opening a restaurant. He will have to give up his job as a male escort with an annual salary of $150,000. He will also have to take 20,000 out of his account when the annual rate of interest is 7% in order to purchase furnishings. However, they can be resold for the same amount after a year should he decide to not continue his business.

What is the opportunity cost of him starting his own restaurant?

Picture's there to entice you into this thread.

What about inflation and the interest that also affects the deposited salary Timmy would have in case he keeps working as an escort?

Even if there was no inflation/deflation present, the rate of interest should be calculated into his potential salary.
