It's a basic difference between the two religions.

The New Testament says that Christians should just wander around all day saying the crazy shit they believe, and keep saying it even if it means their death. Denying the faith is considered a terrible thing to do - think of the story of Judas.

The Koran on the other hand says that it's permissible to tactically lie about the faith. "Whoever at any time or place fears the infidels' evil may protect himself through outward show."
