Also, it's easy to cherry pick.
Also, Ronald Reagan under Theists... as if that's supposed to want to make me cast my vote in with theists?

He was raised as a Roman Catholic. You could argue that he wasn't a Catholic as an adult but he was very much interested in the Occult and he was a Theist.

>> No.2820722

>>2820696

Bad translation.

He originally said "Catholicism". He was quite fond of Protestantism and felt it was the only suitable religion for the modern world. He disliked Catholicism and felt it was un German.

It's one of the few good points he made. Protestant countries tend to have very little internal conflict, high levels of growth and a good standard of living.

regarding the OP, it depends. I'm not a massive fan of either side and I prefer not to get too deeply involved - simply because I don't know enough to debate it.

> My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter. It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God’s truth! was greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter.

> In boundless love as a Christian and as a man I read through the passage which tells us how the Lord at last rose in His might and seized the scourge to drive out of the Temple the brood of vipers and adders. How terrific was His fight for the world against the Jevish poison.

> For as a Christian I have also a duty to my own people.

Incoming quote dump:
> Everybody who has the right kind of feeling for his country is solemnly bound, each within his own denomination, to see to it that he is not constantly talking about the Will of God merely from the lips but that in actual fact he fulfils the Will of God and does not allow God's handiwork to be debased. For it was by the Will of God that men were made of a certain bodily shape, were given their natures and their faculties. Whoever destroys His work wages war against God's Creation and God's Will.

Albert Einstein a theist? Show me the renowned person who would bet his reputation on that, and I will counter with one of his several quotes on that topic. Although this one really nails it:

"It was, of course, a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it."

Several other persons got also mixed up in this image. The idea is nice, but the execution is worthless.

Northern Ireland is a political issue, not a religious one. I know it's easy to paint it as such, but it's not a religious issue.

Even if it was, NI is still more stable than every Muslim country and the standard of living is better than all Catholic countries. Compared with the eastern Euro countries, it's also very peaceful.

Holy shit, I rage every single time I see Einstein used as a theist.

People should fucking learn to read before using someone's image, same with Copernicus and Newton, dammit, the fact someone defines a "deity" as the order that scientific laws bring into the universe, making it seem harmonic, doesn't mean he's a theist.

fyi, the final act of the unification of Italy was the war against the vatican to take Rome, and from then on Italy's state was pretty anticlerical.
It was mussolini, who , as a typical fascist , decided that people needed more religion and gave many privileges to the catholic church.
