Its the future and life-like (its hard to tell them apart from humans) thinking androids have been introduced to the consumer market. They are currently unable to self-improve and must always have approval from their owner to take action.
How will society change? Do you think relations between humans would change? How would the economy change?

I like thinking about this stuff. What are your ideas /sci/?

Yes, we totally use oil-fire power plants everywhere.
And yes I am aware of the plastics issue. Not exactly like something OTHER than oil couldn't be used.

The oil used by ships to haul coal from China to the US, just one of many examples of how rising oil prices will increase the cost of electricity and pretty much everything else.
