Nah, I'm not jelly of Red China's HS rail that's really a piece of junk built for show.

You ever see that Simpsons episode "Marge vs the Monorail"?

China is on course to overtake America in scientific output possibly as soon as 2013 - far earlier than expected.

That is the startling conclusion of a major new study by the Royal Society, the UK's national science academy.

This.

An illusion of freedom is not freedom.

The internet is about all the more freedom we have compared to China.

Once upon a time, there was another country who's leaders proposed that the old society was inefficient and that a new, better, scientifically developed society could be created.

The results weren't pretty.

Sweet hyperbole; how thy love affair with consumerist America soured on the foot of so many unfulfilled promises and empty lies.

To spurn thee, a new love awakens in the east. Exotic, hungry love burning with the desire of a billion hungry souls.

And you here... now flaccid? Jelly?

Don't confuse quantity with quality people. there is much to be admired about China from a purely (brutal?) scientific viewpoint; they tolerate stupidity only in the worker caste, they viciously encourage higher education, they quench "ground roots" political activism that otherwise unchecked could evolve into tea part style fanaticism (often with fatal results). The society approaches an pure scientific academic utopia (hard sciences only - not soft sciences).

It may work, even though conventional wisdom suggests that a body must have soul (metaphorically the soft sciences).

Just like how all the pseudo-intellectuals in the 1930s thought Hitler and Stalin were building a new and better alternative to liberal democracy and capitalism. Suckers.

Hey, you can live in Red China and have your kidneys harvested. I meanwhile will be perfectly happy with the old, inefficient, bourgeois society, especially since history has already demonstrated what the alternative brings.

Exactly, this is nothing more than baseless fear mongering. No doubt the mainstream media would run a story like this to scare the masses into demanding greater action and involvement from the federal government

>"SAVE US, MR. PRESIDENT."
>"Sure, my dear. But...what's this? No more money!?!?
>"That's OK! Raise that debt ceiling all you want, MR. PRESIDENT! Just as long as you defeat those SCARY CHINAMEN."

And the debt ceiling was raised.

Would that they actually stood up to the Chinese rather than kissing their behinds and borrowing from them.

But I don't worry. China has a shitload of domestic problems that will all add up in the end.

I would say; enjoy the scientific wonderland you believe america is while it lasts. If any of you faggots were truly based solely within a scientific realm (as opposed to that of a religious, philosophical or even cultural one) one would have no choice but to acknowledge your mounting daily debt to china and consider exactly how america is going to "repay" it.

You are fucked america. Your scientific accomplishments amount to squat when you don't understand how the repayments on your lab work (lol accounting - shit tier amirite?).

But ask yourself why China has achieved its scientific infrastructure.

Yeah, i forgot about millions of Chinese and Indian grads going to America for their education. Learning the American way how to do things. American professors taught them and American connections will be made. Experiencing American culture and bringing it back.

And while thousands are staying in America to do research because it has better institutions.

Did I mention America would still be in the lead for quite a while? And that despite China's rise American universities would possibly still be the best since the world's best go to Harvard and etc.

Pic related, a fictional character that represents the strength, intelligence, goodness and potential evil of America.

America strong.

This just prove that America "HAVE" the institution for the knowledge and the higher education.
BUT
It's just that the current generation are too lazy or too dumb to archive that.
No
Better let the Asians or Indians to have it instead.

And BTW
American Culture isn't really that awesome
and in fact it's part of why America is in decline.
