Shit won't hit the fan. Shit is already everywhere. In your house. In your food. In your television. In your government. In your head.
The fan is made of shit.
Most of you are full of shit.
And no one noticed.

It's called the carbon cycle. If everything weren't shit, there'd be no everything.

/k/ommandos go crazy prepared for commie apocalypse. /sci/entists wait for the Singularity, or some half-magical technocracy.
But the place we all live in is here and now.
See the point, here?

It's because nobody believes in anybody else.
Let alone themselves.

So who does that leave to change the world.

OP, I somehow get the sense you're just posting this in an effort to reassure yourself of your security.

The fact is, the shit is hitting the fan. Now. Just look around the world, around your country, around your town. Things are falling apart at an ever increasing rate and nobody's trying to stop it. The real SHTF isn't Z-Day or some global revolution, it's a process of decline into societal collapse.

What more do you expect? The president to go on CNN and announce that it's the end of the world?

OP is apparently indicating a belief that the status quo, shitty as it may be, will be maintained indefinitely, in contrast to the commonly held belief that we are approaching a transformational cataclysmic event.

I am indicating that OP is not looking at current events on a long enough timeline, and that the apparent present shittiness of the world is not a new status quo, but rather the early phases of the aforementioned cataclysm.
