Why is this little girl smarter than /sci/? Is it because she's an engineer, is it because she uses open source technology, is it because she hasn't had her mind corrupted by a university or community college or is it something else?

I just have to ask because lately I'm finding out about a lot of these kids being smarter, more interesting and just generally a more positive influence than the people on this board (which I use to respect). I don't care who I learn something from or how, I just want to surround myself with people and things that inspire me to want to do more in life and these kids seem to do that. You can think of it as stupid but I think of it as simply being grateful.

That kid is smart to begin with, there's plenty of time for him to refine/change his ideas. I think everybody should be more encouraging of him too instead of being so aggressively contrived about what they think his answers should or shouldn't be when most of them couldn't do half of the technical work he can.
