Okay so seriously, how the fuck can infinity exist..

For example, people say because of fractals, the length of any object is theoretically infinite. But for a material to be infinite that requires matter and energy to be infinite, which just doesn't make sense to me.

TLDR; Infinity, it's bullshit

Sometimes it works, most of the time it doesn't

It's not certain that the universe is infinite. It is expanding though.

Mathematics is based on axioms. They are logical processes that exist within the human mind, not the physical world. You can form simmilar arguments about the number six or two not existing in the real world if you deconstruct far enough.

If it is certain it is expanding, then it is certain that it is not infinite.

I know but still, infinity is just......fuuuuuuuuu

>>2766597

See, i don't understand how they can be so sure.
Couldn't everything we are aware of just be being pulled by a gravitational force, like a black hole etc?

>> No.2766634

The vacuum outside our universe is infinite....haha (3,2,1...)

A black hole has the same gravitational force as the star it originated from.

>> No.2766642

bro, it's just a unknown var.

Could be the the product of a star larger than everything we know, but still, couldn't everything we can observe seem like it's expanding when it is simply in an orbit of something even larger?

1 + inf = 0

because infinity is a series of 9's that never end.

Since you cannot carry the one since infinity is forever, the 9's turn to 0s, and 0 has no value.

well that's how it works in computers, when you try to represent a negative number, but in math this principle doesn't apply. 1 + ∞ = ∞

∞ * 0 = ?

Except in math, 1 divided by ∞ = a penis, always.
