Because the real arguments used by real apologists in real life are indistinguishable from troll arguments used by trolls to troll.

They are arguments designed to be reasonable sounding enough to draw you in, but are then intended to infuriate you with side-steps, red herrings, circular fallacies and so on, once you are drawn in. For trolls, the ultimate goal is to have the lulz, a noble vocation. For apologists, the ultimate goal is to lead you to a point where you have to say 'I must accept this argument because accepting the argument is synonymous with trusting and loving my family and community, even though I don't exactly follow it'.

Additionally, Occam's razor is a heuristic principle. I don't see where you /sci/entists think you can get off using a method that's neither empirical nor analytic in nature.

The universe, as observed, has no components that suggest an underlying agency. There are some components that are unexplained, and supposedly COULD require, or allow, such agency to occur, but we have no data either way.

Adding an agency to the unexplained or to the extra-universal, is an unnecessary addition. Adding traits to this agency is utterly unfounded, unsubstantiated and, really, pointless.

So a deistic god is one of those things that could exist, but for which there is no evidence. As opposed to theistic gods, which could not exist because there is no evidence for and plenty of evidence against.
