Cool beans, Op I live in SD too and I want go to UCSD as well. Can you tell me how you did it? You said you transfered, did you complete the TAG agreement? What's your GPA (If you don't mind me asking)? What CC did you attend?

How did i do it? I applied to a CC out of high school, got accepted. I basically made a plan for myself that would make it so after 2 years, I'd be able to transfer out. I had to complete a good majority of my pre-reqs and also IGETC (all GE's that UCSD require you to complete)

was pretty easy mate. but TAG gpa for me was 3.0, when next year it is going up to 3.5 so it sucks for new applicants :|

Got rejected from MIT, going to UIUC for Computer Science. Also applied to Cornell, Carnegie Mellon, and Princeton, but I probably won't be going to any of those even if I get accepted.

Looking at College Confidential, the kids who got accepted into MIT are insane- most have a hook like winning a national competition, doing actual research/making an actual publication, or even starting their own businesses or charity. It's fucking ridiculous.

ESU scholar here that just got accepted into MIT. I'm British, got perfect A-Levels, 5s in 7 APs that I took spending a year in the US and I still got put on the waiting list.
