Statisticsfags, I have a question...

Given weight, age, gender, location, occupation, marital status, etc...

Is there a reasonably accurate way to calculate the amount of time one has left to live?

Isn't this more of a medicine question?

>reasonably accurate
This is rather subjective, besides it's near impossible to account for future advances in medicine.

No, it's an actuarial question.

You could make a correlation, but there's so many variables it's impossible to find causation. And if probably wouldn't be statistically significant enough to have much merit.

pardon me, 'there are', and 'And if you did,it'

derp'd there.

Not certain.

But I'm pretty sure human longevity is something insurance salesmen attempt to calculate all the time.

I just want to know how.
