Inception was based on pseudo-scientific principles and therefore no accurate answer can be supplied. The reality of that instance is purely subjected and dictated by the viewer (or if you want an 'official' answer, the director/main creative force).

I dreamed that i was talking to my friend about inception and it occured to me i was in a dream

LOL, my first lucid dream I fell to the floor paralyzed when I realized and couldn't move/wake up for what seemed like a long time (who knows how long it actually was) I woke up terrified.
Since then I've learned to make it seem longer.

If you were asleep that long, would you like have your own dream Matrix world by the end of it (or more like a dozen of them with all that time), or would maybe the lack of stimulation for that long limit your dreams.
