Hey /sci/.

I've got a large amount of laboratory chemicals, at least those legally allowed in Australia, and I'm interested in doing an inorganic synthesis.

First three reactions get done, documented and posted in this thread.

Or you could just do some titrations... bitches love titrations

What sort of chemicals?

Inorganic? Bitch, please. If you've got some KMnO4 you could pick up some pseudoephedrine and make methcathinone.

Has anyone really ever had a stopcock malfunction on them? I've fucked up some titrations in class but it's always been because of my carelessness.

I've had a few cock stop malfunctions if you know what I'm saying.

hood failure and we had to evacuate.

OH! Okay, I've got one.

Mix an excess of high-molarity acetic acid with sodium bicarbonate or sodium hydroxide; you'll get one of those baking-soda-vinegar volcanoes, but don't stop there. Boil the product until you see a thin film form around the top, then cool it. You'll get super-cooled, liquid sodium acetate trihydrate. You can stick stuff in it and it'll form crystals and release a lot of heat.

Mix sugar with high-molar H2SO4
Create nigger cock

Classic ones :
Na + H2O
Fe2O3 + Al + burning Mg
NH4Cr2O7 + heating
I2 + Al + heating
Hg(SCN)2 + heating
concentrated H2SO4 + powdered KMnO4

*Ahem* I think you mean (NH4)2Cr2O7.
