Could science/math every help an athlete become the best?

steroids, genetic engineering of mega athletes

Derp.

But yes, it could. Replacing humans (or at least their parts) with something superior could help to surpass most of the limits of human body.

Linear Progression.

i meant could knowing a certain math or science extremely well somehow help an athlete have a leg up.

>> No.2689170

>>2689152
lol no

It could theoretically help a fighter. Knowing weak spots and whatnot.
He could learn the weak spots without all the biology behind it, though.
Learning any science to be a better athlete would be like plowing a field with nanobots.

>>2689152
he needs to know the technique, not the science behind it

>> No.2689329

pretty much only science can

>> No.2689348

Not really.

Lots of F1 drivers do understand car mechanics, aerodynamics, heat transfer and all that kind of thing though.

>> No.2689354

In sports that have matches (foot ball, wrestling, badminton, chess), yes. In most other sports, no.

Athletes do know "science" and "maths", but they can't explain it to you in words. When they execute free kicks (I'm taking football as an example because of Messi picture), they know how to kick the ball, and where to kick the ball, how much force they need to apply and what will happen to the trajectory of the ball. The outcome is almost perfect to the execution of a good footballer. But if you ask them what the fuck has happened, they won't show you a mathematical equation.
I don't know how this answers your question but take it as you will, in return have a picture of a star surfing some plasma.
