Mathfag here.
Studying for 'Introduction to Logic', I was presented with the following question:
If 2+5=9, then 2=1+1. True or false?
From what we studied in class, False->True = True, so if 2+5=9 (F) then 2=1+1 (T), it should be true.
Did I get this one right?

Good, I was afraid I got it backwards.
Also, if I understand correctly, 'IF 2+5=9 Then 2=100' is also true.
Since 2+5=9 is False, and 2=100 is also False, then the logical connection is F->F, which is true. It's a bit counter-intuitive at first, but I think I get it.

If you really were a math major you wouldn't ask your stupid problem, you'd ask if in general "false statement implies anything" is true, which it is, because A implies B is equivalent to not(A) or B, which is always true if A is false.
