Hello /sci/ I come to you with an odd problem. Everytime I wake up before 11 o'clock, I'll peek over at the time and it will be 11:11. Literally every single time I awake before 11 o'clock. I'm definitely not going loopy, I just want to know if anyone else is seeing the same shit.

Its you finding a pattern where there isn't one, and then confirmation bias takes over from there.

Why would you remember the time when it was 11:09? You wouldn't, you would just go about your day. But when it is 11:11 you remember that, and then the next time it is 11:11 it sticks even harder in your memory. This happens again and it seems like a pattern, even though its probably been 11:10, and 11:12 just as much. Once you think theres something up and it happens just one more time you tell yourself, "holy shit self! I keep waking up at 11:11!".

Basically nothing is going on, it just seems like it is. I get the same thing.

As for the guy. Well, who knows. Perhaps after several times seeing 11:11, he would look for the opposite case. As that has not happened, it became weirder and weirder.

One in 6 billion chance events happenes every day(stupid, you get what I mean) and there are a lot of people on the internet. It may have happened.

this has been explained so many times i am sure anyone who`s not a complete idiot knows exactly what`s going on with this clock thing.

On the ocasions that you look on the clock and it`s 11:08 your brain thinks "yay it`s 11:08".
When you look again and you see the 11:11 your brain will think "OMG LOOK IT~S EXACTLY 11:11 AMAZING ALWAYS HAPPENS TO ME"

The result is that you remember the times you`ve seen 11:11, and forget about all the other occasions that saw normal digits.

See it`s just an illusion.
