Yea, precisely. In Real Life guys like that don't even realize what they're doing when they do it. I find myself just stepping back and saying "do you know what you just said," or "why would you say that, I haven't done anything to you" and they look at me in a dazed way, they pause for a while, maybe because my accent is hard to understand. Then they say, "oh .. right, sorry" and then go make an imaginary phone call and run away.

It's just a lot of internalized dumb stuff that I think can be educated away.

Most of the problem with feminism is that many women would claim to be feminists while accepting all the cultural norms about male to female behavior. Or, put another way, they want men to make exceptions for them, but they also want to play on an even field. Such is my confusion with feminism: is it an egalitarian movement or one that places more value on a female life than a male?

as a privileged little first-world shit i see some of my formerly marxist friends from the third world moving away from marxism and towards a weird combination of accelerationism and liberal feminism as a result of their realizing that promoting liberal issues (esp feminism) in the third world is going to be easier than stopping neoliberalization (for instance, in india, which has that asian stealth-third-way thing going on however). although i see their point i think "fight on all fronts" is a better response, but i've never significantly suffered from sexism so i really am in no position to argue w/ them
