Is a two-sided dice possible, /sci/? It can't be a coin. There has to be some kind of mathematical way to design such a device. Let's say the world hangs in the balance for motivation.

Sphere painted half one colour and half another.
Perhaps not a perfect sphere, more like two hemispheres with a clearly defined edge

>> No.2657973

Just use six sided dice and use three planes for each color. No use for an actually two sided die.

Check.

it being six-sided would defeat the whole purpose of a two-sided die

it has to be cubical in some way, like that 100-sided die i saw at the game shop

>the whole purpose of a two-sided die
Which is what, exactly? A six sided, two colored die fits your criteria. You will have two possible outcomes, 50% chance for each.

Like this but with rounded ends.

Pretty sure he wants to know whether you can make a two sided dice, not how you could emulate one

Well you can't. We live in a three-dimensional world.

take two cones

stick them base to base.

besides a coin, this is the closest to a "two sided dice" you can get.
