So there are three likely possibilities:
1) It is fossilized exolife.
2) It is an Earth fossil.
3) It is a mineral deposit that looks like a bacterium.

I'm quite confident exolife exists, however I am not confident that this is proof of exolife.

The fact that these stones disintegrate immediately after they are exposed to liquid water was observed during the initial studies of the Alais meteorite (Thénard, 1806; Berzelius, 1834, 1836) and the Orgueil stones (Leymerie, M. 1864).

There are philosophical arguments, also testimonials, anecdotes.
see wikipedia for philosophical arguments, go to any church for testimonials.
Moreover, you can also prove it yourself. How can you confirm the evidence if you are unwilling to observe it? Go to a local church, surrender your life to Jesus, and ask Him to reveal Himself to you. Then you can experience God for yourself.

Testimonals and anecdotes are the weakest kind of evidence. For an analogy, imagine that I claim that I saw Jesus on my back porch being gangedbanged by 12 niggers while my grass turned red and ponies started growing out of it. Now, would you accept that claim?

Say that 100 other people in the world experienced a vaguely similar, but not exact thing too. Say for example, others didn't think it was Jesus, while others didn't see ponies growing. But they were similar enough for us to believe it was part of some divine revelation. See where Im going with this?

I could say that there are no evidence for global warming, none. But I haven't seen the global temperature logs. Likewise you are in the same position, sir.

I could tell you stories about miracles I witnessed/experienced, but I doubt you'd give any weight to them.

Can I ask you a question? What would it take to convert you to a believer?

There is not point arguing with Atheists - they are stubborn and close minded. So they will never believe. They are angered by religions b/c they were born with it. They don't like religions and so they don't like God.

Only actual converts or possible ones are agnostics. They are open minded and if they got enough proof they would accept it.

But

1. A vivid experience which undoubtedly proves to me without a shadow of a doubt that God exists. Lets say that I have a vision of an angel who tells me that God is real and if I do some act, this will happen, and behold it happens. This is continuously verified over and over.

2. Independent verification with overwhelming scientific evidence.

>> No.2648127

>>2648098

Your anecdotes are not proof. Proof is repeatable and verifiable by independent sources. What you are calling proof is simply experience that you claim is of God while dismissing all other options and not testing this in any documentable way.

What would it take? Well showing himself...submitting to examination to prove he wasn't some hologram or David Copperfield show. Showing me Heaven and Hell or whatever really "is" out there. Answering many questions regarding the contradictions and mystery surrounding religion. Then I could probably accept it.

Scientific evidence can be repeated, observed by anyone to confirm, etc. Supernatural things cannot.

So you are left with 1. as the only way you are going to believe. This is why God doesn't exist for most of you guys.

I agree with you except on the "observed by anyone to confirm". It could happen that we suddenly can all see God or something along those lines. So in that way, it could be independently verifiable.

if it was only one experience then it probably won't constitute a proof. But over and over, witnessed by many people? There is even a pattern to it and you could generalise laws from them. It's not a strict proof like a mathematical proof, but it would be a proof that would be admissible in most sciences. I wish there could a new branch of science that investigate supernatural phenomenon.

Yes but not for the f2 or f3 generation. That is the kids that are born to our kids. They want verification again. This means God has to show up all around the world every second generation.

If you think about it, everyone with Moses knew there was God and was verified about his existence. But, now we are back to questioning if He exists.

So according to this, God has to show up all the time even though we are His creation and so it's is sorta makes Him look weak to come again and again to prove Himself to us. This would not make Him seem almighty but someone who is just trying to get approval from His creation.

Because religious people throughout history and still today are influencing laws, policy and the quality of our lives with their superstition and nonsense. The whole picture still does not prove god. You are choosing what you want to be true and fitting experiences to it rather than examining things and discovering what "is".
