Sooooo I just had a gen chem exam and did bad. Since everyone pretty much fail the prof is letting us do test corrections.
I am working on this problem

For the first order reaction: 1/2N2O4 => NO2 delta H= 28.6 kJ. The rate constant is k=4.64E5 s^-1 at 270K, and the activation engery is 53.7 kJ/mol. What is the rate constant at 294 K.

the answer I keep getting is 4.64E5

the correct answer is 3.27E6

please share your thoughts.

Arrhenius Equation right?

Yes that is what I have been using

I just came in here to say I find that picture hilarious.

hahaha I think so too

I think it's rude of you to cheat when your prof is nice enough to let you do corrections.

Have you been using the correct stoichiometry? Sorry, too lazy to work it out myself.

I know the answer but when I plug all that stuff into the Arrhenius equation I still get the wrong answer.....whats rude about that
Ill just go talk to him and hell tell me the answer, its not about redoing the problem, we have to correct the problem then write a paragraph about it.
>>2634116
Why would you need to use stoichiometry for this?
