ITT: WHY YOU ARE DOING THE SCIENCE YOU ARE DOING.

My turn: did Mechanical Engineering undergrad to get a solid foundation in engineering so I could specialise or be more employable (in general)

Doing my Masters in Aerospace Engineering because it's weirdly applicable to Automotive Industry (where I want to be) and it's FUCKING. AWESOME.

Rockets and shit.

Enjoy having to work for a private military contractor because the public sector is heavily underfunded.

I... I... don't know...

Originally I had an intense interest in programming and microcontrollers, furthered by a fantastic CS/ECE prof. However, with university that flame dwindled and was replaced by an apathy toward everything. My usual 92%+ average from HS dropped off to 77% in the first term (even though the material was easy).

So who knows? I'm taking SE because the only other option is becoming a neckbeard in my parents' basement. I refuse to be a burden on them.
