Yo, mathfag failing here. Would anyone be so kind as to help with the following? Converting Differential Equations to polar coordinates bullshit.

Suppose x = r*cos(theta), y = r*sin(theta), r^2 = x^2 + y^2, theta = arctan(y/x)

Show:

r*dr/dt = x*dx/dt + y*dy/dt,
(r^2)*dtheta/dt = x*dy/dt - y*dx/dt

Have to convert a differential system to polar coordinates after that, but I think I can do that on my own once this stuff makes sense.

Penguins always related.
