"Commander, we have a problem in one of our quadrants."
"Yes, what is it?"
"It seems we've discovered life on a planet we had once considered uninhabitable."
"Oh? What do the records say about it?"
"Apparently, this planet was close to a cargo route of ours. It was a restricted area, but one of our ships flew over the planet long enough to dump their waste on it and then leave."
"So?"
"Well, the bacteria from the waste evolved after a few billion years and gained sentience. This isn't an uncommon occurrence, but still noteworthy nonetheless."
"So let me get this straight: The bacteria living in the shit in my ass grew up and became sentient?"
"More or less, sir."
"I see. Destroy the planet. Leave no evidence of its existence. We can't have new life running amuck through our galaxy everytime it spawns, especially from our own waste. Ugh."
"Right away, sir."

And that's how I predict the world is going to end.
