Thats not how space travel works.
To move in space you have to push material away from you to gain speed.
Having more energy doesnt help much, if it did, they'd add huge ass sun screens on to absorp solar energy.
It would help to power the electrics onboard but that isnt the biggest issue about space travelling atm.

Just use a large scale version of the hook shot thing and grab onto planets as you go by to slingshot yourself around and gain extra speed.
