Your friend has the burden of proof. You don't need to give an argument.

I think you forgot to say what the argument should be about.

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing?
Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God?

Which god, deists are alright

Christfag here, Lets leave Christianity alone, and come at it like this. I'll be assuming your an atheist for this argument, your very existence proves that there is a deity higher than yourself, whether conscious or not. Now the burden of proof is not whether there is not a "God" but rather how can you not believe in one? I must commend you on your faith though, it takes much more to believe in nothing than it does for me to believe in my God. Almost all of the great physicist of the past (excluding Stephen hawking, I'm not a big fan of his theories anyways) believe in a "higher power" regardless of what it was.

Hurr I'm atheist because is cool. I are rebellious. Pplz thinks I'm smart because of it when in reality I can't even form my own basis for not believing myself. Hee hee.

How about you tell her to read a book. The Greatest Show on Earth is a good one to start on... You have to be brain dead to not recognize the vast amounts of evidence for evolution, which this book elegantly presents.
