I was watching Nova and they explained how Neanderthals decided to hunt with melee weapons for 300,000 years then we came along with out ranged weapons and hunted all sorts of animals into extinction while Neanderthals continued getting their bones broken for a meal until they went extinct. Yet humans have some Neanderthal genes so that means we are products of bestiality. My question is why did Neanderthals keep using spears instead of ranged weapons? Some homo sapien must have taught one of them or at least done it in their presence and they could have spread that knowledge. Were they too dumb to understand the concept of throwing things? Or did they just lack proper muscles or something?

>> No.2542892

umm, who said they were incapable of using ranged weapons and how can you prove not one of them ever did.

>> No.2542955

they probaby didnt have fine motor control. just enough to wildly thrust a stick. they were huge, thats all they needed strength

>> No.2542970

Neanderthals got wiped out because they were not intelligent enough. Humans will get wiped out because we are too intelligent, at least some of us are.

>Neanderthals
>not intelligent enough

prove it

I can, they don't exist anymore while monkeys do. They lived like morons by fucking woman and leaving them. Some lived and became us eventually because they were smart and the rest died.

If i tried to tell you the complexities of it it would take forever, bottom line, neanderthals fucked up and humans are the evolution of those who jumped ship

>Yet humans have some Neanderthal genes so that means we are products of bestiality.

I lol'd, but no we aren't products of bestiality. If Neanderthals and Homo Sapiens were able to produce fertile healthy offspring then we are of the same species.

But Nova was talking about this neanderthal kid that was taught to hunt by his father

I meant in general. There were smart neanderthals like there are smart humans. And just like humans most of them were stupid and died off. We might too.

Homo neanderthalensis and Homo sapien are different species ergo bestiality

>> No.2543055

>Yet humans have some Neanderthal genes so that means we are products of bestiality

It just means that we has a common ancestor

Nova said it's probably from interbreeding between neanders and humans

>In the study of sexually reproducing organisms, where genetic material is shared through the process of reproduction, the ability of two organisms to interbreed and produce fertile offspring of both sexes is generally accepted as a simple indicator that the organisms share enough genes to be considered members of the same species. Thus a "species" is a group of interbreeding organisms.

thats not what I was referring to

So what would a mutt look like? Would it look like the neanderthalensis or the sapien? Or would it have a mix like a skinny body but a huge nose?

>> No.2543080

why do some "humans" keep using internet explorer?

are they going to be a subrace destined to extinction?

bump i want to know this too. what does the offspring of two species look like? i wonder what a cat-dog would look like...a cat with floppy ears and rottweiler legs, ya!
