I have a dilemma!

I am currently making a valentine for this guy I've been hanging out with. He's a math major (read genius) and I wanted to put something cute in it.

The problem is that I'm not super fluent in math and I need a complicated math problem for him to solve that the solution is 10.

Can you peeps help a femanon fall in love with a nerd?

10 x 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 but tell him he has to do it all in his head

>> No.2522346

Some convergent integral? Some complex matrix product? Can't think of anything else that would be simple enough to have 10 as result.

I wish I'd get a math valentine.

>> No.2522395

uhm. sure? I haven't done math since highschool, so anything you guys come up with is probably going to be better than what I can figure out.

I guess it doesn't have to be super complicated, but if it looks that way, it'd be a plus.

<3 thank you! I am so terrible at this stuff.

math major != genius.

just make him solve the definite integral of 2x dx from 10-13, then suck his dick.

I do suck his dick. I didn't imply that oral sex doesn't go along with this valentine.

why does the answer have to be 10, OP?

what is the significance of that number, i am curious.

this is probably fucking simple for a maths major, but it comes out as 10, and im too sleepy to think p anything more complicated.

I created a mix cd for him that had a bunch of love songs on it in his favorite styles of music (big band, classical, etc.) There are 10 tracks on the cd.

I don't know. He got like a 780 or 790 on the math portion of the gre. I got a 300. That's pretty smart if you ask me....

are you a math major? is it surprising that a math major would do well on the math portion of the gre?

i get that you think your man is smart and are attracted to that, but just cause he can crank out some high level math doesn't make him a genius. just good at math. the term genius gets thrown around way too loosely these days.

\int _{\gamma} \! \frac{20 \pi i e^z}{z} \, dz = 10,

when \gamma: [0,1] \rightarrow \mathbb{C}, \, \gamma(t)=e^{2 \pi it}[/spoiler].

This follows by the residue theorem of complex analysis.

This is the last one. When he filled in the meta-puzzle, it was supposed to read "Happy Valentine's Day" but I made two mistakes and it read "Haqqy Valentine's Day" which I think is actually kinda funny./There's also one other mistake on the last question. I forgot the exponents - but he figured out what it was supposed to be regardless.

happy Valentine's Day Mathies!

Perhaps just an "intimidating" looking problem. Throw all kinds of stuff.

Limit (x->0) of some fraction with a definite integral from 0 to x in the numerator so it tends to zero. Make denominator also tend to zero. Need Fundimental theorem, l'hopital. Add some more stuff in there

Long yo - four pages long. It took me a long time, as I had never before come up with questions on my own (good practise though if you want to be a teacher!). I felt pretty good about how it turned out.
