Are you on WebAssign? Some advice, click "Practice another version." more often than not it'll give you an example that's the exact same and you can figure out the answer to that to see if you're doing it right. Or you can type in nonsense and click "Show Answer" to see what they do.

Yeah its WebAssign.. I get like 100 submissions per problem though, its not soo bad...I do a lot of guessing. This was for a pre-cal review, it had like 60 problems. I'm at around 86% done already. Pretty stumped on the rest of them honestly.

Ok seriously dude, This is probably not even Grade 8 homework. Just write out the expression replacing the ^1/2 with square root signs if that makes it easier. Then find a common denominator (I'll tell you that it's <span class="math">(3x+2)^(-3/2)[/spoiler]) and add the two terms together.
