Hi /sci/,

I'm a microbio student looking for help on finding out about spectroscopic techniques. I already know pretty much about NMR and mass spectrometry, any chance you guys could post some thing about other ones / direct me to some info about others?

Maybe too much resolution for your microbios but have you tried Scanning Electronic Microscopy (SEM) or Transmission EM (TEM)? Both techniques can map pretty good elemental composition.
Otherwise, infra-red spectroscopy, maybe it has good results on you

X-ray spectroscopy

OP here, SEM and IR sound perfect, thanks
