Let's have a thread on how to improve the mind of ones self without significant repercussions.

Caffeine is the first to come to mind. See image for more(Stimulant side.)

I drink tea. I think faster after I've had a cup of green tea. I drink Ginseng tea when I'm trying to figure out some difficult problem.

Is there any way to improve the speed of ones mind without substances?

Meditation.

You must learn from a qualified teacher, and it can take a few years to really see the fruits of practice, but the payoff is worthwhile.

lolk.

Anyway, I'm also a big tea fan. I was hooked on diet coke for years, but tea is my drink of choice (especially oolong).

Caffeine doesn't make you smarter. It just makes your brain unable to shut down.

It also makes it more difficult to learn new things

Low Dose Amphetamine causes only minor dopaminergic neurotoxicity, so it could be considered something that does not have significant repercussions.

Are you speaking solely of speeding up your brain, or having ideas?

Because on good sativa, you can have some brilliant, creative ideas and thoughts.

It's all relative.

You can't enhance your intelligence without substances. That's the definition of the Singularity, and we're definitely not there.
