Catholicism helps spread AIDS by asserting that condoms are immoral for use in South Africa.

Given the near consensus that marriage is monogamous, wouldn't marriage actually help stop the spread of HIV?

Theists will help spread AIDS because they don't realize they can get it from heterosexual intercourse.

Consider this.
Not all atheists are liberal douche-bags who want marijuana approved and gay people having more rights.

God created AIDS because he knew that christians would fuck athesist and the sinful christians would die.

what difference does it make to you if people want to smoke pot or fuck each other in the ass? they're doing it anyway... keeping things taboo makes them more dangerous for everyone.

Consider this, popular religions tend to dislike condom use and promiscuous sex, which increases the rate of unprotected sex, which increases the spread of AIDS.

Related: Remember when the pope came straight out and said condom use makes the AIDS pandemic worse? Yeah. Fun times.

>> No.2477160

>>2477150

what the pope meant was the very existence of condoms has enabled and wildly propagated the culture that promotes promiscuous sex...this is true, deal with it

But really, all of the known scientific studies refute this notion. People in the past had lots of sex. People continue to have lots of sex. And people will continue to have lots of sex.

If that is what he said, he said it in perhaps the most obtuse way possible so that most people heard "Using condoms makes you more likely to catch AIDS".

Due to the massive outcry, he was forced to apologize like a month later or something.

Actually, no one today supports "sex with monkeys got humans AIDS". The mainstream hypothesis is that some jackass in the African "woods" was cleaning a monkey, and cut himself, exposing himself to AIDS.

The most plausible explanation and the explanation most supported by the evidence is the OPV hypothesis.
http://www.aidsorigins.com/
tl;dr Some jackass made an oral polio vaccine out of chimp parts, and administered it to a million people in the former Belgium Congo, which is the likely crossover of AIDS from monkeys to humans.

Consider this:

Most cases of HIV in the world are caused by heterosexual intercourse, childbirth, and needle sharing. HIV transfer through homosex is one of the most minor contributors and is only really present in the US and Europe, probably because homosexual couples use condoms in casual encounters less than heterosexual couples do because there is no risk of pregnancy.

I'm sure that people who want to get gay married know if their partner has HIV or not.

>> No.2477647

Also, HIV evolved on at least three separate occasions from SIV taking into account current DNA evidence (most likely it evolved independently many more than 3 times). This means hot monkey sex occurred at least three times in the history of man, probably many more seeing as the probability of SIV evolving into HIV in a single host body is probably abyssmal.

Again, the likely explanation which explains that multiple mutation observation quite well is the OPV hypothesis. See:
