Next Semester I got:

Thermodynamics
Quantum Mechanics
Atomic Physics

What do I have to expect?

>> No.2475628

no pussy

>> No.2475632

the language of the universe

>> No.2475645

What in the fuck is that pic supposed to be?

>Thermodynamics
some calculus, some intuitive stuff. No clear definition of what entropy exactly means or how you can get a feel for it like you do with energy.
>Quantum mech
differential equations and linear algebra with some practical examples. you probably already know all the interesting consequences and phenomena so nothing new there...
>Atomic physics
no idea

Pic at the top above the instructor is a quantum harmonic oscillator, IIRC. I recognize a lot of the other graphs - most of them are QM and atomic physics.

Do you not get an exact definition of entropy untill you do Statistical Physics?

Thermodynamics gives you a very basic feel for what entropy is, stat mech reinforces it by giving a rigorous explanation.
