So i have this problem in LaTeX!
I keep getting this error
! Missing } inserted.
<inserted text>
}
l.257 \end{align}

I have narrowed it down to a bunch of equations i used in an align environment, if i remove the entire align environment, it works.
Tried googling, but the results keep changing to "! Missing } inserted."

I am kinda desperate!

when Latex gives you a missing bracket error, it's usually not on the line it's suggesting. look before it

As I said I narrowed it down to the equations within in the align environment. But there is nothing missing, see for yourself:

Can you use $ if you're inside math mode? I've never thought about it, but that looks incorrect to me.

weird thing is, i have used other equations within another align environment in the same document before and the other one works flawlessly..
