I see it by other way, i think Carl was good in poetry and had a passion in science, so what he did was, he used poetry to describe science, and in that matter, he was great.
So for all those who think Carl Sagan was shitty a scientist, he knew his limitations and did his best to use his knowleage to do good to the world in the only way he knew.
He was better than all those wanna be scientists who expend all their lives trying to do something that they are not even that good at.
We need more people like Carl Sagan
