This is the way forward. We're not forgetting as a species how to make rockets, guys. It's still being done. But we need to focus on infrastructure a little more, and NASA has become horribly inefficient. Space-X is doing a better job.

I think what some people don't understand about a "focus on earth" is that its not a neglect of science as a whole but the natural balancing of an arbitrary extension of our resources into an outlet of science to satisfy the aimless ideas of science fiction.
