Why do we need limit as dx approaches 0 in derivatives?

I have an urge to terraform the moon now.

Because otherwise we wouldn't be able to catch a turtle in a race.

Terraform everything in the solar system. Besides Mercury. No one wants that shit.

This. Fuck arguing over the space system. Everyone thinks terraforming shit is awesome.

Mercury should really just be dismantled for the materials, or turned into an energy plant.

Mercury could be terraformed as well, but some really good solar shields would have to be constructed around the planet.

Mercury, Venus, Luna, Mars, Ceres, Europa, Ganymede, Callisto, Enceladus, Titan, Miranda, Triton.

Everything other than the first four will have to be moved via some super-futuristic technology to a warmer orbit, however.

Yeah, I don't think it's worth it. Scorched ball of rock hurtling around the sun. Just doesn't sound worth it. Dismantling it sounds like a better idea.

Pulling things out of their orbits sounds hard. How hard, though? Would you necessarily need something greater in mass than the planet if we didn't have super-awesome thrusters?

I am just wondering about the possible use of modified Alcubierre drive technology, directing their existing orbital momentum in closer toward the sun.

Would require some pretty serious warping of spacetime.

Because if it were 0 then you couldnt use it for anything and if it werent infinitesima it wouldnt be exact.
Good derailing btw

You'd really only have to get it traveling in the right direction. Let the body float through space of it's own volition and then slow it back into a new acceptable orbit. Then terraform it.

We could give Mars (a) proper moon(s). No offense to Phobos of course.

hmmm i read somewhere that we could extract 1 third of the lunar soil as water, it was just incredibly hard to do
