Atheist here. Wouldn't atheism be a state wherein God = 0, not -God? -God means that there's a negative value to the universe equal to God, which either means A) that there's infinite shit missing from the universe (very bad) or B) that God = 0, and thus -God = God?

I didn't take the hard sciences route through college, though. I could be wrong.

if atheism was one up on god that would mean ath = god + 1 which isn't the case.

reigning over something is meaningless in math ath/god just indicates an inverse relationship since:
if ath/god = -1, then -god/ath = 1 or god/-ath =1, so either can "reign" over either other one and either one can be made to look negative.

also the second step (in white) doesn't really make any sense or mean anything since step 3 could have easily followed directly from step 1
