I suggest going for the plugins, most have additional features, like marking threads for easy recall. This is especially useful if you travel across boards. Another bonus is several let you customize the look of 4chan. It even allies custom backgrounds.

It started out as a joke. When /sci/ was new someone would post threads asking about the greatest scientists in every field. So I posted that there is a pascal in every field.

Someone else posted pascal goes in every field, and then for a few weeks, many of us would randomly post pascal

Over time others went away, and I spent more time posting beyond just the joke. But occasionally I see someone else appear.

When you participate in an argument or debate, it is inconvenient when every participant is anonymous.
I started out as just Samefag, no trip, then a bunch of faggots go "hey I'm Samefag disregard that I suck cocks" then the trip was born.
The tripcode is #fag, in case you want to stay true to anon form and spam the thread with "hey I'm Samefag disregard that I suck cocks"
